Exciting breakthrough for global child health and public immunization programs! 🌍💉A new study led by the Wits Vaccines and Infectious Diseases Analytics Research Unit (Wits VIDA) has provided groundbreaking evidence that a reduced-dose "1+1" vaccination schedule for the PCV13 vaccine sustains strong immune protection in children through five years of age. This is the first trial to evaluate long-term antibody persistence up to age five under a reduced-dose regimen.
