Dr Farzanah Laher

Dr Farzanah Laher is the Head of Operations at Wits VIDA and brings over 14 years of experience in pharmaceutical and clinical research. She has managed more than 20 clinical trials across oncology, haematology, rare diseases, and vaccines. Dr Laher has held progressive roles in research coordination, project and site management, and operations, with strengths in regulatory compliance, ethics submissions, staff development, and quality assurance. She holds a BDS from Wits, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources, and a Certificate in Project Management. Her work has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications, including in the South African Medical Journal.
