Reem Yousif is the Head of Data at Wits VIDA, based at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. She leads the unit’s data strategy, systems, and governance to support a broad range of epidemiological and clinical research. Since joining in 2021, she has established centralised data management systems and promotes data-driven decision-making across studies. Ms Yousif holds an MSc in Population Studies and an MA in Developmental Studies (with distinction), with research focused on health, disability, and access. Her skills span REDCap, R, STATA, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional leadership. She is also deeply committed to mentoring staff and fostering data ethics and integrity.
